Silver Wing Sailing Club formerly British Airways Sailing Club is a Non-profit organization and open-to-all members sailing club located in Wraysbury, near Staines. It has a lake, with a small island to the east side.
A new clubhouse was built in 1979 with heated changing rooms and shower facilities which greatly improved the club at that time, including the much needed catering facilities. However, due to a rapid growth in membership, the clubhouse became too small by 1991. Therefore, a large extension was added making it into the large clubhouse that is there to this day.
The facilities are continuously being improved to make sailing more enjoyable for everyone.
Now they are a large sailing club and are now open to all members of the public and not just airline staff.
